Frame 2013 will take place in the medieval barns at Cressing Temple. on the 30 August - 1 September
David Leviatin is organising the event with assistance from Rick Lewis and Sally Bungard. More details will be posted as they become available. The focus of this year’s event will be: Imagining the Future and Considering the Past of Timber Frame Construction.
Speakers and demonstrations will offer an informed view of what timber frame construction may look like some day. Speculation about the nature of materials, design and manufacture will be accompanied by talks and presentations reflecting on the historical evolution of timber frame construction. What can the way we worked in the past reveal about the way we may be working in the future? How and why has the role of the carpenter changed over time? Does the future of our industry lie in the craft of our past? What can we expect moving forward?
