| Rick Lewis, Paul Price, Barry Smith, and Chris Butcher have been working on a crown post roof extension to Low Farm in Suffolk. |
 |
Despite the bad weather we managed to raise the first phase of the Low Farm extension last week. (16-06-03)
As you can see it is a complicated frame, not much space to move and about as much detail and timber as you could hope to fit into three bays! We completed the frame in February and have had it in store whilst the groundworks caught up, consequently there has been some shrinkage already and it gave us a few little headaches during the raising with some distortion. |

| We are making steady progress through the second section of the Low Farm extension, the side walls are done as are the arcades, now into the cross frames before we start cutting the mouldings to the capitals; scary! (31-10-03) |

| Above you can see the smattering of snow we had on our final day, given that we had rain for almost every day when raising it we weren't to surprised! (14-02-04) |

| This is a view along the frame from the final bay; not too congested is it?!! How many crown posts does a man need?! |
